Places We Have Been

Bryson City, North CarolinaOne of our faborite places to go that is not too far away from where we live. It is a quaint town nestled in the NC Mountains. We have enjoyed camping, hiking, kayaking, exploring, and riding the Smokey Mountain Railroad.  They have a train museum and have blue grass music near the train station sometimes.  Pics to come.


Marathon, Florida
Marathon Florida is in the Florida Keys! We went there in December 2010. It was also a great place to go. We had a great time. We went to the Dolphin research center and enjoyed the dolphins. They have some local museums, we went to and walked around and learned some history. We also went to Sombrero Beach, which is also a great quiet beach. Marathon is a quiet beach community, not really somewhere you would go to party! Great family fun. All we ate was fish the whole week and learned of some great resturaunts. We at hog fish, which i never heard of , but was really good. Keys Fisheries is a great place to eat , on the water of course and is where the boats come in.
